The boyfriend and I spent another evening at The Rook and Raven on Friday. We sat at a little corner table, ordered some boozy coffee and tea, and tucked into mussels cooked in white wine and a plate of spicy shrimp with cheesy polenta.
The mussels were delicious, with just the right amount of salt and acidity from the lemon juice. The best part about eating mussels? Using crusty bread to soak up the broth! The tiger prawns were juicy, not overwhelmingly spicy, and paired nicely with the creamy polenta.
By the time we left, it was snowing outside, and that was the end of our perfect night.
